From the remnant pile. Used to get added to regularly when a slab being cut broke. Not doing it any more, it seems, and the remnant pile is radically diminished. Marble is pretty slow to sell I think. A lot of it goes to China apparently, gets cut over there. Some of the stuff that comes out of the ground here is beautiful. Crystalline white, crystalline blue/grey, and black beautiful black, with white fossils.

I had looked around for birdbaths, but couldn't find anything at the time, not even Bunnings. I had a bit left over after covering up the mud by the stairs. Seemed a good idea at the time, and it just kind of grew to what it is now. Wallabies come and have a drink too.

Great shots of the crows 28 even from inside.
One of the owl breeds around here have learnt to turn toads upside down and just eat the insides.
Sometimes find them fresh on fence post in the morning.
The marble looks good too, a free form artistic look.

32mm here this morning, truck coming this morning to pump septic , could be a little interesting getting him out.

Cheers

I was amazed those images were as good as that thru the fly wire. Thanks Bunyip. Just a cheapish Canon SX430 with 45x zoom. Takes very good pics at the distance of the birdbath, but not much else. My phone takes better shots of most things.

Never had to do the septic pumping thing, but seen others doing it over the years. Hope that happens quickly.

18mm This morning keeping it wet and slushy :(

Had 2 tractors to pull the truck out yesterday and now have a huge mess to sort out when it dries out enough to
get the backhoe in and smooth it off .
He should of stopped about 10m from where he did, still would've needed a tow but not as bad.
Young fella not wanting to get all the hoses out.

Definitely cooled off now.

Cheers

We've just had more cloud again today. Oppressive, and non-productive ie no rain, even though it felt like it.
Cooled down considerably, not the hot days we were getting just a week ago. 5.15pm and a bit on the chilly side at 27degrees.
Quite a lovely evening now.

I would have liked one more day of good weather to finish my mowing and spraying but alas the rain came back yesterday..

Don't be jealous 28...there is no end in sight for this lot...just day after day of endless showers and 20 knot Sou'easters that would just about blow a dog off its chain.....

The novelty wears off when you are slopping around up to your ankles in mud..

Wouldn't even try and get a truck in here ATM, Bunyip...it would probably be stuck here till September..BigGrin

Nah, not really, but just a bit...lol.

I just discovered another nice tweak on this forum. I was able to highlight what I wanted to quote, and quote it - without having to quote the whole post. Pity we can't get more of the old crowd back over here.

31mm this morning.

Yeah Scott, I thought this fella might have had to stay for a while, The 80hp 4x4 kubota made no ground at all and just
dug down. I went and got a 120hp 4x4 fiat and she got things moving, had to drag it back again as the driver was not
doing his part and put it up against my trellis.
A very inexperienced driver, after getting him on the hard driveway , totally straight 350m , he some how managed to
drift over to the left and almost fell into a deep drain that runs the length, another tow to get him out the gate.

I'd like a week of dry, just to get some slashing and spraying done. These stream showers are wearing thin this year,
I'm just over it, can't even walk around my yard without slipping and almost falling over. Pulled a mussel the other
morning just putting the compost in the bin.

Oh forgot to finish this yesterday..

9mm this morning.

Same old same old
I wish I could send even one days worth out to you 28.

Cheers

Thanks for the thought Bunyip.

Accidentally opened my radar shortcut yesterday to see an armada of small cells heading our way. Late afternoon there were still bright blue skies with a variety of high white clouds. And the other direction was black. Even later, everything got dark.

A neighbour said it tried to rain, for a moment.... I missed it completely.

Woke this morning to that greeny light before it rains, but its just teasing. ☹️

Well, nothing changed here either. 😩

Still dry, although it's bleddy windy a lot of the time.
Grass is almost back to its usual beige colour, with blotches of green where the white flowered prickley weed grows.

LOL. It only (almost) looks like it's going to rain. Grey skies, cool, kind of oppressive weather. But, as I said, it only looks like rain.Crying

Edit: North West WA could be in for some interesting weather, scroll down to 98S.

I managed 20.2mm to 09:00h and 34mm since then.

It rained most of the night here, albeit light rain with a few heavier showers, and since lunchtime it's been heavier, if anything.
Might be another wet night ahead. Tracky dacks went on last week, and tonight I've added a flanny shirt to keep cosy.
