A strong High Ridge of 1032 Hpa is sitting over much of Australia and will move slowly East over the next few days.

So today, Thursday 1 May, we should see a slightly cooler day, but still just above the May average, along with some light SSW winds.

We should then see cooler temperatures for next 4-5 days as the Ridge brings in some showers with it as it moves to the East. There is not a lot in the totals but the cloud cover is what will bring the temperatures down slightly.

It still has been warm for April with just the occasional cooler night.
