These past 6 months or so would have to be some of the most monotonous and depressing rainy months in a row that I can remember here in South East Qld.

According to a recent article in the ABC there were rainfall records broken during this time. For example here are some from April as stated in the article:

Brisbane recorded 156.8 millimetres of rain in April, more than 2.5 times its monthly average.

Just north of Brisbane, Redcliffe recorded 260.6mm, its highest April total ever and more than triple the average.

Redcliffe also recorded its highest daily rainfall total for April, with nearly 100mm falling on April 13.

Meanwhile the Carpentaria region received four times its monthly average rainfall.

According to the same article we should have a drier than average winter.

On a sunnier note BigGrin the forecast is for some sunny days this week. Here is the BOM forecast for the Brisbane area for the rest of the week.
