A cold winters blast will hit Southern Queensland over the next week as a High pushes cold air up from the Southern States.

Minimum temperatures should be below the June average and daytimes may also dip, on a couple of days, below the June average.

There will be frost on the Downs and even in some suburbs throughout Brisbane and Ipswich.

Below is the old faithful 4 day synoptic chart showing the High moving into Southern Queensland.

Stay warm and enjoy the cooler weather. I definitely am a fan of the cold.
