A very cold and windy day here in the South East.
This was caused by the East Coast Low sitting in the Mid NSW Coastline and a High over inland Australia that pushed strong Westerly winds over Southern Queensland. The feel like temperatures due to the wind chill were quite low all day.

Places like Applethorpe and Toowoomba had negative feel like temperatures for most of the day.
The winds should start to ease overnight and into Thursday as the ECL moves away to the East.

I have shown the Brisbane Observations for the day along with Windy.com and Satellite image of the ECL.

Warmer weather is on the way with temperature around 23°C from Saturday. The minimum’s should still remain low until the cloud and showers will act like a blanket and capture some of the daytime heat in by mid next week.
