Our weather for most of the area within this thread is continuing on with the cooler nights and warm days due to the Highs that cover most of Australia. You can see the persistent highs in the 4 day charts each morning as per below

In terms of storms, it is looking bleak for the next week at least at this stage. The models are not in agreement with each other. GFS has a slight potential for next Wednesday but it is quite a while out and anything could change. I have posted the GFS stormcast model for storm probabilities below. As I said it is a long way out so I haven’t thrown all the other charts in until we get closer and see how each run changes.

But one thing just to keep in mind, it is the start of storm season and we do have the old fashioned hot V cold scenarios, and given enough moisture inflows and atmospheric conditions, you just never know, we could get a surprise storm here and there. But at this stage it is looking a little bleak and slightly dry, which could add to the probability of fires as vegetation continues to dry out. It has been a dry September.

Stay safe and keep an eye and ear open just in case.
