The City of Moreton Bay has been advised from Queensland Fire Department that due to heightened fire conditions, a local fire ban has been extended to addtional areas from 12:01AM Thursday 2 October 2025 and will remain in place until 11:59PM Tuesday 7 October 2025 for the following local government areas:

Somerset
Lockyer Valley
Ipswich
Scenic Rim
Brisbane
Noosa
Moreton Bay
Redlands
Sunshine Coast
Gold Coast
Under a local fire ban all open fires are prohibited and all Permits to Light Fire which have been issued in the designated areas have been suspended for the duration of the ban. Certain exemptions from the ban will apply.
