SEWS still needed for latest STW. A very dangerous situation. If you can find cover until it passes please do and be careful of heavy rain that may lead the flash flooding. .

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 3:00 pm, VERY DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORMS likely to produce large, possibly giant hailstones, damaging, locally destructive winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding were detected near Brisbane CBD, Logan Central, Cleveland and Caloundra. These thunderstorms are moving towards the north to northeast. They are forecast to affect Maroochydore, Strathpine and Redcliffe by 3:30 pm and Caboolture, Highvale and Lake Samsonvale by 4:00 pm.

Other severe thunderstorms likely to produce large hailstones, damaging winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding were detected near Kooralbyn, Jimboomba and Logan Village. These thunderstorms are moving towards the north. They are forecast to affect the area between Boonah and Beaudesert, Bundamba Lagoon and Greenbank by 3:30 pm.

5 T0 6 CM HAILSTONES OBSERVED AT TAMROOKUM AT 1:25PM

4 to 5 cm hailstones observed at Arundel at 1:10pm

91 km/h wind gust recorded at Beaudesert at 2:30pm
