Yeah i had 6 months without FB and just logged in again during the rain event to keep tabs on what was going on....so many weather pages now and so many just spouting off uniformed [censored]acting like they are experts and just giving opinions based on info from BOM...and so many people that beleive what they read and asking for advice.......[

28 The cat 5 cyclone of 1918 is pretty famous here at Mission beach and the pumice can still be seen at the base of the hills at North Mission beach from the 20 foot tidal surge..it wiped out the initial plantations around here as well..Would have been a real tough time for the early settlers that had done much work by hand to set things up...[

Just in case you already havent 28 as my son found out on new years eve, the top cover of RAQC is a lifesaver, while stuck on the side of the road up near innisfail at 8pm thee silly young boy was able to use our Racq to get a free tow and ride home from our RACQ policy...[

SM the economic reality has certainly has come on quickly and must be a real shock to the younger generation trying to get a start in life...Rents in Mission beach now start at $600 per week for a basic home and around $800 for a decent larger place...Hard yakka in a place that houses either working class or retiree's...[
