92mm here this morning, creeks are all up and I'd expect a bit of a run in the river.

Some fool sunk their boat (steel 30 foot fly bridge) just upstream from the ferry just before xmas, it's tied to the south bank with the front
staying out of the water, they have made no attempt to refloat her. There is a real threat that if it gets free it will get tangled up
in the ferry cables or even caught on the ferry.

Yes SM, the rules & laws around the humble slug gun are crazy, some of my best childhood memories are on my grandparents property
shooting plums off the barb wire fence. We (cousins) would collect heaps of fallen fruit and stick them along the fence and take
turns, weekend & holidays for hours of cheap harmless fun.
Another great memory is of my nana getting around her huge veggie patch with a break action .410 shot gun over her arm, poking
the barrel under the cabbages to check for snakes before picking. Nan also had a big box of crackers, red paper things that would stain
your fingers if damp, but she used to light them and throw them into the fruit trees to scare off the parrots.
Now as a grandparent myself I look back and thing what will my grandkids remember of their time coming here..

'ave a good weekend & don't forget the aeroguard.

Cheers
