54mm at the new El Arish weather station..79 in Tully.
SM wasnt your forecast for drier days ahead...
damn its soggy down here and most nights and mornings we are getting showers but with random showers anytime really...The 10 day charts are showing the typical large slow moving high setups that we expect this time of year with plenty of showery weather on the back of the constant Sou-easters....

I think I say it every year but I'll say it again...man, I hate this weather..!...The dogs spend the days sooking on the beds or couch wistfully looking out the windows ...they get feet and skin issues with the constant wet so only venture outside to pee or rarely if they are feeling frisky when the sun puts in an appearance...
Best for all to say Yes sir, No sir if questioned by a QLD cop with an itchy trigger finger...!..It sure would be interesting to watch a Glock turn fully auto....bit of kick being .40 calibre though so probably flocks of cockatoos woiuld be most at risk..
edit.....

I used to have a 5-6 kva genny and it was noisy and chewed through the fuel so downsized to a Honda 2.2kva...such a nice little genny but I mainly use it to around the property if I need to use power tools and sometimes a leaf blower or pressure washer for paths and shadehouses...same deal as Bunyip though ..its surprising what it will run in the household during blackouts ..I'm not as conservative as weary..a bit of a warm up and then everything gets plugged into the power boards and away she goes.
Hey Bunyip I didnt realise you had FNQ pioneer heritage...it sure would have been exciting times back in the day up there... I'm sure many a miner came to town after slaving away washing dirt with a pocket full of gold and then scrurried back to the mine when it run out.. sure would have been good times while it lasted though wouldnt it ..at least if you didnt get rolled in the street for that pocketfull of gold anyway....!!
