Yes Argent I think the negative trend in the AAO generally has helped the rain for west Tasmania. The AAO had a brief positive period last week but has been pretty much on a neg trend for a few months now.
Currently neutral with a slight negative forecast this upcoming week.

Satellite picture shows Tasmania in a cold pool currently with some westerly belt undulations.
Hobart a maximum of 15 today about the mean and the central plateau maximum around 7deg c today
