Well I'll be. I had no idea a small town like Alice has got a weather station with data as far back as 1940.
The mean temperature for October is 31.1 deg c
Alice springs is off to a hot start with 7 of the first 8 days of October at least 4 deg above average and of course this heat is drifting in to other areas of the mainland. Nasty
