Up at Mooloolaba, got a park undercover and went to the Hoggs Breath to have lunch and sit the storm out. We watched it approached with the others in the restaurant then it got intense. The marina got hit with a small tornado. Staff running everywhere glasses and plates blowing off tables.
Things went flying everywhere, then we got hit with the rear flank and had hail and strong wind.
Power has been out for over 30 minutes. Doppler both Stappy and Gympie was amazing likewise with the radars.

Trees and branches down everywhere, power poles and lines are down. Roads closed. Cricket ball hail. Hundreds of cars just smashed either on the side of the highway or at the service station halfway from the Coast. Tow trucks everywhere. It was an intense powerful system.

Could only grab a shot here and there. Too hard to drive and just could not pull over anywhere.

The whole center and the Marina had to close. A fair bit of damage and just no power and it was not going to get restored for some time.
