Been hanging to post some photos/videos but have had no power for over 7 hours due to storm that hit here. Can we add videos? Photos attached of our neighbourhood at Glenfields Estate, Mountain Creek (suburb next to Mooloolaba). Intense 30 minutes of mother nature's fury. Neighbour got a branch through his roof and pierced into his dining room. We have national park backing up to our house so am surprised we didn't get damage with the 40 metre high gum trees backing up to our fence. Just a lot of branches in the yard thank goodness. Neighbourhood looks like a bomb sight, trees and power lines down everywhere. Six foot high timber fences just blew over flattened to the ground by the wind like dominoes. I have never ever seen anything like it. I only walked through the area of destruction 30 minutes before storm hit. Am actually dumbfounded at the amount of damage around here. Hope to get more photos tomorrow, these just don't do the damage just but was hard to get in to get photos with dozens of people around. Anyway, been a long day/night so off to bed and have a massive yard clean up tomorrow with branches strewn all over yard. Good night.
