Complete opposite down here.........how things have changed. Not that we are getting rain every day but more wet days this year than we have had for the last few years.

Apparently now Cassowary coast council has just closed our beaches here to swimming....you can often walk a kilometre either way and not pass anyone ...

But backpackers can party in the hostels around here with locals and other backpackers from other hostels and drive all along the QLD coast from fruitpicking area to the next area looking for work with no dramas..


Parties? With the locals? How do the locals manage that?

Beaches ought to be open to locals.

We'll come out of this with laws they'll never rescind, and use whenever convenient.
