YS , to pollinate each flower is tricky , but once you get the hang of it it's quite ezy.
It involves using a toothpick to move the pollen from the male bit to the female bit.
There is only 1 bee in the world that pollinates vanilla and it is almost extinct. The Aztecs
had natural vanilla, but 99.5% of the world production is by hand pollination.
I have a 6m ladder and a lot is way past that.
We get a few beans each year but I'm starting to look at getting into it in a bigger way.



Hi 28, I don't think it has to much effect on our weather here on the North Tropical coast,
but it does influence weather events inland and south.
I say bring it on a couple of wet years for the rest of the country would be fantastic.
