Not much point in the yearly total for Chillagoe. Most of it fell this month!

Rain started late, in January, with a few storm showers. I was away from 15th January to 16th February - completely missed the Wet...(they told me it rained). There were maybe 10-12 storm showers after I got home.

Mid-November had a fall of 1.5mm and a nice 10mm. We've had 10 days of rain in December. The rest feels like it's been mostly overcast, & often with sprinkles that don't register in the gauge. November-December total is 215mm.

The creek is running again, quite a shock to see moving water.

Desperately hoping my mower man will be back next week. This place goes from bare dead do-nothing-to-it grass for most of the year, to totally out of control, within a couple weeks.

And, The Road... Who know what it will be like when I go to town on Monday.

At least some of the worst slush parts have been sealed, but there's still 12.5km left. It's not as if it's a big spend at $9 million, comparatively speaking.

Wonder if marakai will re-emerge soon. Who else are we missing?

Wonder what 2021 will bring us. I'm exceptionally grateful to be living in this region, where the outside world can cease to exist if we want it to, mostly.

Have a great night tonight if you're partying.
