Thanks Bunyip,- yeah, I know where you mean now. Back in the late 1970's, and early 80's we used to ride up the CREB track to Cooktown,-
on trail bikes in the dry season. I was a lot younger then, and it was fun,- very tiring, but fun.

I haven't done that ride since 1985. The Lion's Den pub, (the Helenvale Hilton), was a welcome oasis, before the easy part of the ride into Cooktown.
