Could the rains be finished for the rest of February ?

BoM's weekly note seems to think so.

Quote:
Monsoon to become inactive across northern Australia

Model guidance indicates the potential low will track eastwards, away from the Queensland coast, dragging the monsoon trough with it, away from Australia.

As a result, northern Australia is likely to experience an inactive monsoon period, during which widespread rainfall is unlikely across the region. Weather over northern Australia associated with an inactive, or break, monsoon period is characterised by isolated shower and thunderstorm activity, light winds and high humidity.

Rainfall outlooks from the Bureau reflect this situation, indicating a high chance of below-median rainfall for much of Australia's tropics for the remainder of February.
