Terrible cold snap in Texas which is expected to move eastward
Haven’t had time to investigate records but certainly must be right up there. I suppose this is a post polar vortex split event?

Texas can get to 38 deg c in summer so this is quite a contrast
Minus 18 deg c without power and broken frozen water pipes.
Food shortage and lack of heat
Deaths from carbon monoxide inhalation from indoor generator fumes.
Wondering if Australia will have a bumper snow year🤩
