I will happily admit I know bugger all about interpreting Doppler radar images. The red patches in the blue down Cassowary Coast show that the wind is going away from the radar(red) surrounded by wind going towards the radar (blue). Storm cells?. Any ideas?

EDIT . When doubt read the BOM help pages. Apparently the Cairns Doppler can only read up 96 kmph. When it gets above that speed it shows it as going in the opposite direction to its real direction Confused . So those red patches are just wind going towards the radar but above 96 kmph🤓🤪🤔😬
