Bit surprised about the catastrophic prediction with the winds quite low atm?

In VICs west we don't get catastrophic unless the winds are quite wild.

The smoke haze is quite strong over the Tweed. I am not sure if my 'elcheapo' camera picks up the strength of the smoke haze currently.
Looking from the Tweed river to Mt warning this morning the visibility of Mt Warning was zero and thats saying something for a picture perfect day.

The picture below was taken this morning from Teranora inlet and ana branch of the Tweed river and facing toward the hinterland
