I didnt see bunyips post before ..we must have both posted at the same time...Bunyip the rain intensity didnt really suggest the high total but just that it was so non stop...Was that your experience..?

Certainly a doozy of an event for this time of year and in all the usual places..

Gone Tropo, I'm certain the Bulgun and some of the valleys around here get more rain then Tully Town..

Over the hill from us Yasishak keeps rain records and I'm pretty sure they are more impressive then Tully's...

I'm sure you would find the same in some of the hills and valley's around Babinda/Bellenden Kerr and up behind Mossman and Daintree that regularly show higher totals then the more accessibly located official rain stations..
