Sigh. Have to start watering on a daily basis again.

Missed our one "big rainfall event" of 137mm the week I was in Cairns. Back a week, and all we've had is 3-4mm.

Can't see anything turning up our way before Wednesday, likely only one or 2 mils, if we're lucky. Bit depressing.

Looking back on "rain events", my last memory of anything decent was arriving in Darwin to the low precursor of Cyclone George in February 2007. Just prior to that I'd driven from Cairns to Mackay mid-January pouring rain all the way. Think there might've been a cyclone off Bowen, had to spend a few extra days before I could return.

There was a bit of rain around after Yasi, and we had water lying around town til early June, then it disappeared, never to return...
