Hey mate no there are not at least not that the bureau keeps however they do record 24 hour data at those places which sometimes are state run stations that give share 24 hour data with the bureau. There are bureau offical sites for mount Sophia and deeral however deeral haven’t updated since 2020.
It really is archaic that the BoM can't take an automatic rain station and tally automatic rain records. I mean how hard can it be?
Don’t even get me started on the bureau, archaic would be an understatement of the century these hacks cannot input simple data into an excel sheet in a timely fashion. How is it that backyard weather folk like myself and bunyip amongst many others can have timely rainfall data on our spreadsheets daily with up to date YTD data etc yet the bureau has so many stations that are so far behind it’s not funny. I get onto them regularly about this in my area for example Mossman south alchera drive has not been updating since June 2020, daintree village hasn’t been updated since October 2021. The answer I get from the is they are volunteers and we haven’t been able to contact them !!! Far out mate pick up the phone and keep calling them or emailing them to find out where the heck is the data, if the volunteer can’t do it anymore for whatever reason get a new volunteer heck I’ve put my hand up.
In our whole area Douglas shire the only station that reports with any regularity is whyanbeel valley and of course low isles which is useless as it’s an island off the coast and not relevant to rainfall on the coast. There is no Mossman stations at all except the mill which updates months behind. It’s 2022 This stuff should all be automatic and not relying on manual data waiting for people.
