Looks like the Daintree mob got a good soaking...

Down here most places were around the 450-600mm mark of nice soaking rain...

Some bananas and cane down but no real flood problems...

Pretty nice really and badly needed for a creek flush...

Shame about the garden damage up there tropo and Dormant....I just had a fit young wwoofer dig over my annual vege garden before the rain and then covered about 25 metres square with black plastic so the rain didnt mess it up...I pulled the plastic off and its ready to go now with pakchoi, radish, parsely, basil, beans, cucumbers snowpeas and other quick growing annuals so hopefully we wont get any more torrential events...might have to make a clear plastic roof if bad weather is forecast..with the price and lack of decent vege's, I'm looking forward to some some fresh garden produce this winter...

I really need a freezer filling reef trip too but it looks like no chance of that anytime soon ..
