We have been missing the rain here big time, only 4mm overnight and 7.25mm for the month..... getting dry.

Yep fruit trees all have to be topped and maintained at 3-4m i don't let most of mine grow any bigger than that except purple mangosteen as no bats or birds attack them. Rambutan get smashed by everything, cockatoos work durian over big time. My abius seem safe from birds so far.... I have bigger problems with bandicoots in dry periods than anything else they dig out young trees and dig deep into and damage the root system of bigger trees. Im surrounded by cane on 3 sides so its a war at my place.
