Thanks Bunyip.

This used to happen to me all the time on WZ. Someone would start a new thread, but never made a last post linking to the new one.... I'd go for days before I realised. I'm one of these people who rely on email notifications.

Great idea Ronfishes.

I went away for a week - to Cairns and Cooktown. Nice weather.

Back in Chillagoe it had changed.

Jolted into the Dry Season with 17°C yesterday morning, cold winds, everything dried out, and dust starting up already.

Any water in seasonal creeks has disappeared, and the colour of the grass is fading rapidly.

Last Dry was pretty close to perfect all the way through. Comfortable cooler temps day & night. Green & no dust worth mentioning.

Hard to believe it takes 9 weeks to upgrade a radar site.

cheers

Noticed that. 9 weeks is awfully long. Lack of funding? Hunting up outdated superceded parts?? (Like Telstra's 3G outages here.)
