Looks like a couple of days of slack-ish weather between highs Wed/Thursday and with all species of inshore mackies on the chew I reckon there may be some sickies taken...
and hopefully the pattern now is for this to continue in between the highs..
Thankfully those few cold days are behind us and my vege garden is the best its been in years..I also had some self sown cherry tomotoes come up at the end of the wet so i potted them up at the time and planted out once the terrential rains stopped and now have about 35 bearing monsters on stakes about 7-8 feet tall with a couple of newer generations coming along behind..
Aside from the winds its been a pretty nice dry season..wish they were all like this..

yeah Scott, it's been a fairly nice winter, just wish the endless gray skies would clear. Haven't really got much in the garden this season here, with the Mrs now working in Weipa I'm trying to just push everything else back and get the place where it can be left for a couple of months with out any real work needed, So it can be looked after by a care taker.
My dad is here at the moment, road his BMW 800 up from Katoomba, It's his 3rd time and probably the last big trip for his at 78... Leaving Sunday for the return trip. He's not into boating so I missed this chance, But it looked bloody great when I slipped into town.
Had a couple of misty showers earlier in the week, but not a lot in it..
Cheers

I'm sure the fella I do a bit of work for looks at the forecast and calls me when it's boating weather Missed another couple of nice days on the water.. A damp drizzly morning up here, to be expected with the show on tomorrow and Monday. The neighbours are all out getting cattle in and loading up to take in. My days plans have changed, lawns can wait now they are wet. Got a loaf of bread rising, and stuff out to make sausage rolls later & might light the pot belly and put Osso Buko on. Cheers |

No moisture down here yet but its cloudy with shower forecast for the week ahead.. We have a had a couple of nice days out on the water the past week or so and would have went again today except we hate being out with all the weekend warriors.. i'll go out to the range instead for a bit of a break now that its past June 30th and all the people trying to get there compulsory shoots wont be there.... That means it will be quiet and i can set up a couple of lanes as a shooting gallery and have some fun..
