Well here we are folks 1st of November 2025, almost 2 years since Jasper. I've opened my "Wet Season" total with 1mm  Hoping we have a good season without anybody being badly effected by mother nature. Bring on the monsoon Cheers |

Thanks for the new thread Bunyip
BOM are trying to claim plaudits for changing the colour scheme on the radar. FFS it was already there, all they have done is change the default.

We got the November total underwater this morning with 0.5mm. Another warm afternoon here today.
I see on the news the cost of the BOM website upgrade could be up to $150M. The contract was given to a multi-national apparently.

Geez I regret doing a couple of hundred plant creekbank reveg at the front of our block not even on our land and having to handwater every 2 or 3 days...the novelty is really wearing off... All the roadsides are starting to die off down this way now....lots ofsprinklers going round the clock at my place... BOM still hinting at a early wet but I havent seen it yet..

A nice typing error there Scott. I'll have to blame the long day in the garden.  There could be a bit of wetter weather from next week. The GFS has a little low in the Gulf at the moment.

Geez Scott that does not sound like fun in this heat. I've held off on to much watering and only giving new stuff a drink.
But it is drying out big time now.
I know what you mean about busting your guts and these button pushers getting all the ezy money, boils my piss as well.
Bloody pressure switch has gone on my bore last night, something else to deal with today, good thing I have a new one
in the shed for just such an occasion.
Must be about time we got a few rain days or even a couple of nice storms.

Good morning weather junkies, friends and co, hope we are all happy on this Tuesday morning :)
Managed to get 28mm in the gauge this morning from showers most of yesterday arvo, must of been some
heavy stuff around as power was out for a few hours.
Anyway it has really kicked the lawns into action and greened up everything, still need a fair bit more
to get the creeks running , but it has refiled the holes for now.

Good morning everyone, a lovely day here after 38.5mm overnight. A bit of heavier stuff yesterday lunchtime and then light to steady for the rest of the arvo. It was very welcome.

Lucky devils....just 9-10 mm here...still less then 50mm for the past 2 months.. Better then a poke in eye with a blunt stick I suppose but it wont go far with the forecast ahead... I'll be moving sprinklers around again this arvo..

Unfortunately I think we are stuck with their dogs breakfast of a new site for the cyclones 28.
Well yesterday arvo was the first of the how rude is this humidity kinda days, totally uncomfortable.
Cracker of a morning with a strong red sky to the east, so likely another steamy arvo :)

Looks like no rain for White Rock in the next 7 days by the forecast.
JTWC is predicting Cyclone Fina to pass close to Darwin with 45kt winds at the moment.
