Slept in this morning so I didn’t get to the gauge until 07:00 and it was overflowing , so more than 150mm overnight. Still bucketing down.

A little less excitment would be appreciated. Chickens are off the lay after being shoved in the garage last week during 'cyclone' prep. Could do without it ruining another weekend Blink

Wow! What a wet night that was. Emptied out 210mm in a lull around 4AM and then another 87.5 at 9, 297.5mm in total. It now makes the monthly total look a lot better, we more than doubled it overnight. Very unexpected going on yesterday's forecast.

The GFS has the low crossing on Thursday between Cairns and Cooktown, 991hpa.

Good morning all :)

Another nice wet day in the Daintree yesterday has left me with 175mm in the gauge this morning.

Talk seems to be ramping up on the likely hood of a whirly later in the week, that could really
make a mess of things.
Nothing we can do either way, so get organised and sit back and watch what mother nature has
install for us all.

Cheers

Not really, With another rise in the river yesterday arvo, they stopped the passenger service and that did
not restart till 12:15 today, with only 2 bus service's into town.

MSQ spent 2 days going over it, but nothing has been done since Friday arvo. Can't work on weekends or in
the rain.
The pile that anchors the drive cable has pulled on and angle and broken the concrete with mesh visible.

I have just heard the there is a small self propelled barge/ferry making it's way up the coast that will
be here and possibly in action tomorrow, but at this stage it is not going to be for public use, just to
get supplies over and recovery teams over to work on this side.
This has not been published and is only rumour but I believe this fella would know.

With a whirly on the forecast with would be good to hit the shops tomorrow or Wednesday for a bit of dog food
and milk but other than that I'm not to worried.
Oh and a couple of blocks of Supafry for my deep fry pot, it's getting low and needs a freshen up :) :)

Cheers
