A cool day today with the temperature rising and falling numerous times with passing clouds and some very brief showers. A total of 0.3 mm of rain since 9am and 0 mm on automatic gauge. Dew point have been generally falling today and became moderately low though has stabilised tonight near average. Near average relative humidity rising and falling plenty of times. Winds have been light E to SE today but have been gradually backing during the evening with some S to SW presently.

Some great totals from this event around the northern suburbs and up to the sunny coast. Total for me is 18.6mm, which is pretty good considering what the last 4 months were like.

It appeared to have been tricky for the forecast models with some not deciding until the day it happened. Ensemble did pick it up in Ken's charts from a coule of weeks ago in the day to day thread though.

Was it about 16 to 17mm out in your area WarwickEye2Sky?

Notes of yesterday weather - 1/10/19: Partly cloudy with cu clouds and cloudy at times. Light brief showers in the late morning and early afternoon. Light shower in the late evening. A warm morning and a cool day. Very variable temperature during the morning and afternoon. The temperature rose in the late evening with the light shower. Near average and slowly falling dew point from early though was a little variable in the morning and afternoon before starting to slowly rise in the late evening. Moderately low relative humidity early, near average during the day and variable in the morning and afternoon. Light SSW to SE winds from early becoming E to SE from early morning before backing in the evening to S to SE and in the late evening it was S to SW at times.

Today: The temperature was stable for several hours before sunrise. The dew point have been near average and generally stable. Relative humidity have been moderately low today. Light S to WSW winds and is currently S to SE.

Total rainfall of 0.7 mm (since 9am 1/10/19).

That really does go to show how coastal these types of events can be. 100KM or so in land and it is still bone dry.
