Cold front coming through Victoria. Having a look at the west VIC obs , looks like the wind change line came through about 9am
Pretty gusty there . Not before the wind change but after in the strong SWesterly. Horsham at 1pm 46km/hr and a gust of 61 !!

Only feeling like 5.2 at Horsham .!
Mildura a beautiful 28.8 at 1pm

Melbourne airport a gust of 74 at 9.45am with a Northerly ahead of the win change line
Currently 17.9 at the airport and wind change line has arrived. About 1pm . The wind surprisingly actually dropped to 20km/hr

Weak incoming trough for WEST Victoria tomorrow and Yorke peninsula region in SA.

NW , W and SW of VIC weak precip' signal. Extends to Mildura.

The signal dries up by lunchtime and does not extend to other areas of VIC

Nothing in this trough as yet. A bit of Virga in the west perhaps. Winds still northerly ahead of a wind change but looks to be a dry benign trough. NextBored

31 at Mildura this afternoon. Dew point minus 10!!

Some warm temperatures finally arriving

Next trough due to arrive next sunday the 6th Oct .Looks to deliver some rain to broad areas of VIC. It looks to move quite quickly

which may reduce the amount.

Nth and central districts look the best at sunday lunchtime.

Looks like this rainband associated with this trough is starting in the SW late this afternon and most of the rain will fall overnight. Mostly south of the state.

Trough in Victoria. Light precip' signal across all of Victoria.

I heard on news weather about 10mm for Bendigo and 8mm for Melbourne

BOM forecast for Swan Hill only 3mm.

The ACC r forecast below shows the maximum precip' signal around 5pm with some intensification for the east of the state in the late afternoon, evening

We are Camping in the Mallee region today. Quite a bit of dust in the air this afternoon. Also the total fire ban siren went off last night.
The park rangers were out checking the forest areas.

ACC r has a patchy very weak precip' signal over parts of VIC tomorrow (saturday). Don't think there will be anything in it.

Dew points very low in places.

Swan Hill currently minus 1.5 tonight and Shepparton minus 2.5deg c

The SW coast and SE Melbourne might do better sith a slightly stronger fain signal and dew points in the teens'

Very hot and windy in the Mallee this afternoon ahead of the wind change line. A hot 38deg c forecast today with a total fire ban.

ACC r showing the wind change line coming through in the west of the state overnight about 3am.

ACC showing a weak precip' signal which will extend across rhe state. In fact it extends into outback east SA and southern NSW tomorrow, friday.

Have been in dust everyday for the past 5 days in the Mallee. Everything is covered by fine dust. Strong winds continued but found a more sheltered perspective today
Today was especially bad . The dust in the air all day. Tomorrow everything needs a wash.
Apart from that we are having a great time nomading.

Looking at the VIC obs for today.,The winds across the state were strong.

Melbourne airport a gust of 104km/hr. Many places had high gust in the 80km/hr region

High pressure moving in overvthe next few days. Hopefully some more pallatable weathev for camping. Our resilience has surely been tested this week.
Having to put weights on the annexe roof was necessary the other day.

Noticed campers at Phillip Island got blown away' today at the bike races . Saw on 12V TV with our new aerial.

I am torn between two thoughts. First one is I am glad the horrible cool weather seems to have passed, however I don't want a turn to hot conditions and fires.
I am happy with the 21°C in the day and 11°C at night for now.

Off to work I go in the sun! Cool
