gone troppo how did you go with that little storm last night ??? Only managed to get 3mm here but is sounded good from your side of the hill.
A couple of cooler day are a welcome relief from the last week or so.

Hey bunyip sorry I missed your message didn’t get much other night but right now we are being belted. I have been up since midnight walking the yard it has been pouring for hours looks like well over 200mm in the gauge so far hoping it doesn’t overflow only holds 280mm. Creek is way up incredible weather event I can’t sleep watching the radar like only a true fanatic does in a event like this lol |

Amazing gone troppo. We just had wind, with the very faintest whiff of wet. Think it was just wishfulthinking. Lol. Edit: The smoke. I forgot to mention the smoke. Just checked the nylex. 13.6mm in there for Nov so far. I saw a report from somewhere in Bayview had a few inches yesterday. |

Hey GT , wow is sure came down..
I had 164mm yesterday morning and 57mm this morning. Sure put a good flow in the creeks and river.
lol I knew it was raining but didn't realize how much, Looked at the radar around 02:00 closed a few things and went back to bed.
Got up at 05:00 and when I took the dog for a run at 05:30 was a bit shocked at the state of the roads with 300mm of water flowing
over the road and creek crossings lol checked the gauge and could see why lol
Enjoying the cool morning here now.

33mm in the gauge this morning.
Late afternoon shower gave us 18mm by 6.30pm, another 15mm fell from 11.30pm onwards.

Thank heaven it rained. I was crawling up the walls. I loved The Build Up in Darwin, but out here it's my most unfavourite time of the year.

What a lovely morning of storms. :)
Only 8mm when I took the dog for a run, but we did get more after, not anything like 100mm though.
Amazing what 4km can do Dormant.

So true, Bunyip. Right over the top of us, a good two hours of it. Some good clicks then cracks but fortunately nothing to actually shake the house to open up new leaks. I do wonder if anyone had trouble up here being in the midst of many solar electric systems. I hope they unplugged everything and read or whatever by flashlight as I did. Nice, actually that it arrived upon dawning light instead of the usual plunging darkness.

Yes I love morning storms, they are the best.
ended up with 48 this morning. so only half what you got Dormant.
They are forecasting a wet week. See how we go

Hi guys...the forecasts are chopping and changing like crazy..latest GFS run has Cairns and you guys in the north with 400mm or so....no doubt that will change each run..
I guess it will be one of those events where some places get bucketloads and others not so much...a few showers last night here which cooled the place off nicely after the horrible heat of the past months..
Today I just went and sprayed the thalia seedlings popping back up in my pond/dam that I had let get super low to be able to cut and poison all the waterweeds in there..I tried getting 2 different backpackers to cut and poison the thalias but both freaked out and gave up citing fear of spiders....up till then they had spent around 14 hours dikking around there doing the easy half ...They asked for a different job to do so I told them to leave and went and did the more difficult half in an hour and a half and didnt notice any spiders...Then I also spent some more time a couple of weeks later to recut the ones they had cut and missed painting with roundup and had started to regrow plus the ones they had stomped on and missed entirely....anyway hopefully nowit will fill back up this week and I might get some Barra fingerlings in next year.
