A rare hurricane-like storm in the Mediterranean threatens Egypt and Israelhttps://edition-m.cnn.co...%2F%2Fedition.cnn.com%2FCNN) — Egypt and Israel are preparing for the onset of heavy rains and strong winds as a rare "medicane" barrels toward them. Medicanes are named for a combination of "Mediterranean" and "hurricane" due to their blend of tropical and extratropical cyclone characteristics. Great video Orebound. Always exciting to see the wind, but then it hits home seeing the damage and the trees down, plus the suffering that causes. A good wake up for any potential cyclones we may or may not get this year. Also, can I have your job? Let's swap! |
