Hey Delboy, although the cell is a VDS, it technically is not a V notch. What has happened is there was a smaller cell just to the North of the main cell, it got caught in the steering winds from the Fraser Coast and it thus moved in a Southeasterly direction causing it to collide on the Eastern side of the main cell creating what looked like a V on the radar.

If you have a quick look you can see the cells collide. I used to be able to get the archives and post them on the forums but now they want pretty big money.

It is a pretty intense cell. Here is the doppler image of it. Some strong gust in there.
