For northern Australia and much of the southern Maritime Continent, an MJO pulse over Africa or the tropical western Indian Ocean at this time of the year is typically associated with below-average rainfall. These expected drier-than-average conditions are apparent in the Bureau's latest climate outlook, which shows a pronounced dry signal over northern Australia for the fortnight of 21 March to 3 April.

Maybe we should just believe the opposite of what the BOM says? they said "drier-than-average conditions" and it has not stopped raining since? Confused
They predict thunderstorms we get nothing.... They don't predict thunderstorms we get thunder, it has been like that for the past few months.
