I noticed that rain was colored in near Uluru on the synoptic. I did also notice a low formed in the NW of WA which seems to be related to this cloudiness in the region

A look at tomorrows forecast shows where in deed these drip may fall.
Temperatures on this region look quite low

This forecast is for tomorrow 23rd september

Hermannsburg 10 °C 17 °C Rain.
Papunya 13 °C 18 °C Rain. Becoming windy.
Uluru 10 °C 19 °C Cloudy.
Watarrka 13 °C 18 °C Rain at times.
Wulungurru 16 °C 19 °C Rain.

Just saw Alice Springs was only 15 deg c at 2.30pm on the news before

The funny thing is it was 15 deg c at 7am this morning. The temp actually dropped to 12.9 deg c at 12.30pmand then went up to 15.

At CooberPedy the temp at the same time was 19.4 deg c. Not very often that difference happens

A weather forum to discuss the observations and news for Central Australia, including (roughly) Coober Pedy and North to Tennants Creek.
If there is red soil or sand, then this is the place for you! Cool

Well I'll be. I had no idea a small town like Alice has got a weather station with data as far back as 1940.

The mean temperature for October is 31.1 deg c

Alice springs is off to a hot start with 7 of the first 8 days of October at least 4 deg above average and of course this heat is drifting in to other areas of the mainland. Nasty Angry
