Yeah Satman definitely can see the nice cells up near Blackbutt very clearly. Nice satpic.
Radar is a bit peppered but you can see it slowly back building which we need it to do. Beef itself up. The Seabreeze here is quite nice and not too strong so it could act as a nice feeder band into the system if they can get over the range. |

Today’s one was more likely to be in the evening unless we could have really cracked 33+°C then the cap would have broken and allowed the storms to fire off. We will need to see how tonights moisture mixes with the atmosphere and with the cells that are out there. Even tomorrow, if the southerly pushes through too quick it can ruin any chances of a storm. Weak shear storms are very hard to predict. It gets really frustrating especially when you can see them and they are not too far from you. A warm day today and a few degrees cooler than yesterday. After the dew point rose earlier this morning the dew point have been stable and near average since the mid morning. Relative humidity have been near average. Light and variable winds in the morning became E to SE, ENE to SE in the afternoon, and E to NE since 3pm.
There are some small but severe cells trying to head my way to the west at the moment. |
