Yeah, the weekly note made mention that the MJO over the tropical Americas and Africa will move east in the coming fortnight, with below-average rainfall expected across much of N.W. Australia and the N.T. during the first half of March. I suppose that will then move across to N.Q. as well.

OK by me as, I want to have another go at the singapore daisy.
My last effort go a fair bit of it, but it never got 6 hours before it rained. My mate across the road gave me a small coke bottle of some good, strong stuff to bowl it over good and proper. He's got a poisons licence and can get stuff not available the general public.

I've filled the 5 litre pressure sprayer, and pretty sure I'll have a win with this stuff. Winds dropped too, so the poison won't drift over stuff I don't want obliterated.

Right now we're getting a little bit of rain from the storms to the east. Just at the very edge, as usual.

Refreshed everything very nicely, although it was only warm, not hot today. My food patch will be very happy.

Edit 7pm: Might've ended up with about 10mm after all. Still a bit damp to go check.

What caused the damage? Fires?

We managed 47mm last night, and another 6mm around midday today.

This tree would be nearly 300mm where it snapped. It is still on my neighbours fence as I had the day off today needed a break. Trying to chop up a black wattle yesterday and I think my chainsaw needed a break too lol.

Everything is drying out again. Fading green.

The mock orange is flowering. The ants are building mini-volcanoes. I think they'll be disappointed. Even they don't always get it right.

Scattered showers around us but the force field is firmly in place it seems.

Now that was some sort of a storm.

Looks like about 150mm in the nylex, and still raining lightly. Two lightning strikes very close by,- one took the power and internet.

Power was back within 30 seconds, but broadband took about 25 mins. I re-booted the modem/router, but the problem was somewhere else in the system.
