106.7mm today bloody just got the pool all sorted on Saturday too.

90mm in my gauge today from 06:30 so another 10 or so overnight just to round it out would do nicely

Erk, we're in direct line of a stream that'll last for hours before the rain relinquishes us all and we enter some sunny days (always the optimist!).

I wonder if thats the end to the "proper" wet season...?...if so it certainly finished with a bang...wowsers..!

Only 23 celcius max yesterday and the stream showers are now moving quickly east to Sou-east on the back of the high pressure systems..

Looking at the synoptic chart forecasts for the next 10 days it looks like the traditional winter tradewind pattern setting in..certainly no reef fishing weather for the next week or so at least.

I know I say it every year but the next couple of months are my least favourite time of the year depending on how long the miserable windy,showery weather hangs on for ..

For what its worth the BOM are suggesting below average rainfall for the next few months...No complaints from me if it happens..

Yeah Scott, it's a bugga of a time, the Makkies should start to show up real soon but getting out to them is the hard part.

Looks like the SE'erly stream showers for a while, makes it hard to get on top of the yard with the constant little falls keeping everything damp.


I think you right Weary, no clear end as such down here, unlike the NT where it just doesn't rain for the next few months, also it cools off here
where up there they still get hot days through winter.

Well i finished the month of with 976mm, the 3rd 900+mm month for the year.

YTD stands at 3901, which is 449mm more than the whole of last year!

The blanket has been officially reinstated on the bed, and it has dipped to about 18 deg over the past few days,

Gordonvale west side Oct-Apr wet season ended up 1791mm. Jan and April were the only 2 good months, the rest were well below average.

That 65mm in April must of been a real treat.
And 1238mm is a good wet for you, I'm sure the country loved getting a good drink,
lets hope it continues for a couple of consecutive seasons so it all catches up.

Showery day yesterday gave 9mm this morning :) with a heavy fog that is just
burning off to show a beautiful day.
