Three whole millimetres the other day.
Nothing since. But the grass is still growing pretty well.

Well just dribs and drabs now with 5mm overnight.
Can't see much on the charts anytime soon , think that might be a wrap for our wet :(
Numbers are Ok for here but it didn't feel like a real wet and a lot of country missed out on any meaningful rain.

First rain was early January. I saw 19 days where it rained since then. Apparently 15 days where it fell during 4 weeks I was away. Over 3 months that's not much. Haven't even bothered to add it up. ((Maybe we got 500-600mm.)) At least the grass is still green.

Wow, think I'm glad I don't live in Vanuatu. Thanks YS, I've been a bit slack keeping an eye out this season. Strangely, we've just had/having a short storm. Haven't been game to look at the radar in case I jinx it. Last night we had two separate very brief showers which gave us 3mm this morning. An hour or so ago I realised it was looking different outside, and realised it was heavy misting rain sort of, then we got a heavy shower, the sky was still dark grey, a few rolls of thunder, and even a bit of lightning. Nicely refreshed, thank you, and another 2mm. Then there was this weird looking rainbow. It was really a dull looking rainbow. Interestingly in the pic there's a faint hint of a double, which I couldn't actually see. It was almost dark, very very late for a rainbow. (Taken with Huawei Mate 20 Pro.)

Still good to watch these systems in the CS.
Good shot 28 & lucky you getting a little storm, saw them on the radar.
Will give you a few more days till it dries right out :)

30mm sounds wonderful Bunyip.
Currently overcast, trying to rain every now and then.
Had the grass cut yesterday, green is faded, but a little spatter from the heavens might keep it green for a little while yet. Transplanted a pawpaw growing in the wrong place. A bit of rain would help it settle in.

Yep the showers and drizzle have returned with the Sou-easters...I got the grass mowed over the weekend..i was too lazy to do the spraying..it didn't seem that important with all that's been going on...
I even felt too guilty to get out the reef during the near perfect weather...but I am doing boat projects anyway..trailer upgrade, trim tabs, solar panel, more batteries in preparation for fridge freezer and for the oven.....altogether spending too much money but at least if the virus gets me..I'll die a happy guy...,
Its going to be a crazy few months ahead I think..
So the Cyclone hit the northern islands of Vanuatu as a strong cat 5 ...you could only imagine its going to be a horrible mess...and you couldn't imagine a worse time to happen with the rest of the worlds focus on other things.....poor bugga's

Yes, terrible for Vanuatu. Fiji will probably catch some of it too, and Tonga too.

Yeah old Harold really got into the swing of things , Sad for the people of the Pacific , I saw footage from fishing vessels washed up on beaches :(
No contact with some islands so far. And with this china flu it will be a hard recovery.
35mm this morning, about 25 or so yesterday and the rest overnight.
Few heavy showers yesterday as I went to town (DR appointment) still can't find regular supplies, it is getting bloody ridiculous.
The police state we are falling into is not somewhere I thought we as Australians would go, but here we are.

You're right Bunyip. We're in a police state and none of us would now attempt to do anything natural and normal, even if it was at a distance.
We are living in a very interesting time, and I'm extremely glad I chose to have no children. The world will never be the same again.
This is certainly odd weather. Thought all the rain had gone away.
2mm yesterday afternoon from a large cell that wandered by. Reminds me of the clouds at the top of the Faraway Tree, only I can't get up there... Living in a fantasy world has a certain appeal now. Or maybe we were living in the fantasy, and now we're back to reality again. 😳
The rain yesterday actually lasted for long enough to pretend it might set in and rain for the whole day. I cannot remember the last time I experienced rain all day every day.

Police state alright...! Apparently now Cassowary coast council has just closed our beaches here to swimming....you can often walk a kilometre either way and not pass anyone ... But backpackers can party in the hostels around here with locals and other backpackers from other hostels and drive all along the QLD coast from fruitpicking area to the next area looking for work with no dramas.. Parties? With the locals? How do the locals manage that? Beaches ought to be open to locals. We'll come out of this with laws they'll never rescind, and use whenever convenient. 28, some of the Innisfail local banana workers are a few snags short of a barby too.. Remember this fella a couple of years back...he is pretty typical of some of the young banana workers in that town... Knobheadand now it seems that Hinchinbrook island has been closed as well....I really dont get some of these closures at all...I am way more afraid to go into the supermarket as so many people dont respect the social distance at all..but its now illegal to get away from people on a 50 mile long remote island...WTF..!

Resilient fellow. :D What's goon? Lots of the coronavirus stuff doesn't make sense to me. In Sweden they've apparently decided to carry on as normal. 28, goon as in goon bag is the wine in a box , without the box. Can hang said bag on a hills hoist and play goon of fortune or spin the goon. lol
you really need to get out more , or not. Haha Scott he is a fine example of male stupiditty, still seeing lots of local youth up here all doing
the same partying at swimming holes, ect ect. It seems not only can you not fix stupid , you can't lock it down up either.
I'm with you on the laws not needed and unlikely to be rescinded, we are entering a new era.
Our freedoms are being eroded way as we watch. I'm not sure how far they will go before there is some push back, but at this stage nobody
seems to think it is worth fighting for and most suburban types are more worried about bog roll than really looking into what the Gov are doing
under the so called health emergency. The whole way it is been run buy each state is a joke.
My personal feeling is we should be isolating the vulnerable and full closure of the international borders and get australia back to work.
Life will never be as it was, they have done to much damage to the economy now.
Funny we have not heard a peep out of Gretta , maybe it was her who ate the bat?

Yeah. I really do need to get out more...! But you know what they say about over 70s now. They think we're old and decrepit. Old yes, but not necessarily decrepit.
Closing international borders would have been best, but the person/s responsible...less said the better without getting into a political diatribe to rival marakai. We won't get back to any kind of normal without mandatory vaccination & likely a tracking device, although they may just continue to track our phones. None of this thinking sounds quite so extreme any more,since it already appears to be happening.
So it's another warm day.
31° and climbing. Still a comfortable 26 inside.
45% humidity inside & out. The grass will be yellow soon, and then resume its usual dirty beige til December/January. 😝
