Yeha glad you got a bit 28 , it could be a long wait till you get the first storms.
Only 12mm here from constant gray drizzle all day yesterday and it continues this morning.
Still around 21° but it feels much cooler this morning.

Yeah, quite amazed. Still drizzle on and off. Temperature 18 degrees at 6.30am, still only 19 at 9.40am. Happy little vegemite.

Strange bunyip that a similar event has happened before during May so recently.....
Well if you add 85mm from the 19th it takes us to 536mm for the 3 days  but yeah, you still beat us. Funny thing is May so far has been our wettest month this year.Beating Jan & Feb combined. Our creek was still pretty murky yesterday, as it was pretty much drizzle/rain all day Saturday.

It got down to 10 degrees some time during the dark morning, didn't look at the time. Seeing 10 degrees was enough to get straight under the covers again. Sleeping like a log though in this cold weather. That's something. After two hotter than usual Wet Seasons, I was rather looking forward to a cool change, but this is a bit more drastic than I was expecting. I can't seem to put on enough clothing. Last winter was so warm I gave the cheap heater away. I'd only used it once in 3 years. Could've used it last night. Went looking for it, then realised I must've given it away. Not sure I want too much of it this cold.

Speak for yourself Bunyip...we went out for a fish on Tuesday...left the clears on all day with a 10c start in the morning..bit breezy and lumpy but yeah it was nice to see the sun... Not quite sure whats going on at the BOM ...they say we will have a warm winter...maybe they should step outside in the mornings... http://www.bom.gov.au/climate/outlooks/#/overview/video

Looks great 28.
Much better temp this weekend to last. Only a work shirt needed to run the dog this morning, Not the 3 layers like last.
Not sure how much fishing I'm going to get in this year Scott, Mrs has started more work and uni, might have to slip
out on my own a few mornings, but I can hear the reaction already. lol.. Have mentioned it to a couple of mates,
they just need to take sickies.. lol
I'll get the backhoe in this week and fix my yard now it is dry.

I think Chillagoe may have seen its winter, last week, in May not June nor July. 🙄🙄 Edit, a few hours later: Warmer tonight. No need for uggs, or woolly jumper, yet. Noticed in the last 2 or 3 days there's suddenly lots of volcano shaped ants nests. Haven't seen them like this since leading up to the big rains we had at Christmas 2015. Yehhkkk, whirlwind season seems to have arrived. Two this morning. My dustbreak on the lane-fence seems to be working, and they blow further down the lane. But some are a really big blow, regardless of what's in the way.
Generally not too "cold". Coolish though. That annoying state of will I or won't I put an extra layer on, or off??

Oh joy..we are back to showers and drizzle and 20 degree days for the next couple of weeks at least by the looks of it..
Whats your missus doing at Uni Bunyip..?
and whats a dust break 28..?
The pigs have been smashing us but thankfully some of the other neighbors complained to some one high enough up that council have put their vermin guy onto the job...
He has set up a pig trap adjoining the bottom boundary of my block by the creek and runs it every morning..I have just set one up at the other end of our place...
He has managed to get a sow and 5 suckers and 2 x 60 kg boars the past week...we have also seen a couple of cassowaries on the trail cams hanging around the trap and at least one larger boar remaining...we will certainly be glad to not having our places ripped up every night...

Built up a bit of force by then. Over the dusty back lane, picking up half of it. Used to sweep straight up my yard. Never nice. There was one sat over the back lane a few years ago, it was that bright red brown and was like a miniature of those monster brown things you see in America.
