Notes of yesterday weather - 29/11/20: Mostly sunny with some Ci clouds. The temperature rose quickly in the morning and became warm from the mid morning. In the mid to late afternoon the temperature eased to slightly warm before returning to warm in the evening. Close to average dew point early in the day fell slowly, rose early in the morning, then fell slowly from the mid morning while remaining close to average and rose a little later in the morning. In the early afternoon the dew point briefly rose a little more quickly, became slightly above average, then rose slowly before falling slowly from the late afternoon while remaining close to average. Slightly below average relative humidity early in the day, eased to near average later in the early hours, then fell quickly in the morning and became slightly below average or moderately low. In the afternoon the relative humidity returned to near average and remained close to average in the evening except for some slightly below average relative humidity in the early evening. Calm winds early, light NNE to WNW winds tended N to NE in the early morning, then NNW to NE winds during the rest of the morning with some variable winds. Light N to ENE winds later in the morning, E to NE winds in the afternoon and in the early evening before N to NE winds before calm winds later in the evening.

Today: Slightly warm during much of the early hours, becoming warm from later in the early hours with the temperature falling steadily to the minimum temperature in the early morning before rising quite steadily this morning. The dew point fell slowly in the early hours before rising this morning and has been slightly above average. Relative humidity was near average in the early hours before dropping back to slightly below average this morning as the relative humidity starts to fall. Calm winds early before WSW to SSW winds early this morning tended to SE from 7am and SE to ESE winds currently.

Notes of yesterday weather - 30/11/20: A slightly warm start to the day, became warm from later in the early hours before easing during the morning to near average from the late morning as the temperature rose more slowly later in the morning. In the early hours the dew point fell slowly, rose in the morning, became stable from the mid morning, fell slightly in the afternoon before stabilising in the evening. The dew point was slightly above average during the entire day. Near average relative humidity from early, before dropped back to slightly below average in the morning, slightly above average during the day before easing back to near average in the evening. Calm winds early before WSW to SSW winds early in the morning tended to SE in the morning, E to SE from the mid morning and to ESE to ENE later in the morning and in the early afternoon. During the rest of the afternoon the wind backed to E to SE in the late afternoon and was S to SE in the evening.

Today: In the early hours the temperature fell very slowly and have remained warm before starting to rise this morning. The dew point have been stable and close to average or slightly above average. Relative humidity has been slightly below average early today, which was stable in the early hours and fell a little this morning and became moderately low. Light S to SE winds in the early hours, tended to S to SW later in the early hours with calm winds at times before S to ESE winds this morning.

As the relative humidity rose a little slowly in the early hours this became slightly below average before becoming moderately low this morning as the relative humidity falls quite quickly. Light N to NE winds in the early hours became calm later in the early morning before N to NE winds this morning with some E to NE winds since the mid morning.

From the late morning the relative humidity rose, quickly at first and quite steadily but more slowly afterwards with the relative humidity returning to near average. Today: Some very light rain briefly at times, with no measurable rainfall. Very hot in the early hours of up to 9 C above average, with the temperature rising and falling several rimes while generally not falling much. The temperature eased during this morning to warm. A new record for the past 11 years here for the highest daily minimum temperature (previous record of 24.5 C on 18/12/2012). Dew point was stable at the start of the day, moderately high before sharply falling for a brief period and then became stable during the rest of the early hours slightly above average and this morning close to average. Relative humidity fell sharply for a brief period at the start of the day and became low and remained low during the rest of the early hours and during early this morning that only rose slowly before remaining stable this morning but have eased to slightly below average. Light WSW to WNW winds early in the day, backed during the rest of the early hours to NNE to NNW later in the early hours with some calm winds before N to NNE winds this morning that were followed by calm winds before N to NE winds presently.

The edge of a mild thunderstorm at 2pm, followed by a mild thunderstorm with moderate falls and a light shower in the late afternoon. A mild decaying thunderstorm in the early evening. Very hot in the early hours, with the temperature rising and falling several times while generally not falling much. In the morning the temperature eased to slightly warm, then after briefly rising sharply in the late morning and became warm the temperature stabilised in the middle of the day while remaining warm. Following this with the thunderstorms the temperature fell 9 C in just over an hour and became cool in the mid afternoon before generally continuing to fall slowly during the rest of the afternoon and evening. During the evening the temperature eased to near average and to slightly warm in the late evening. Dew point was stable at the start of the day, moderately high before sharply falling for a brief period and then became stable during the rest of the early hours slightly above average and early in the morning close to average.The dew point rose slowly in the morning and was close to average, then fell slightly in the middle of the day before rising in the early to mid afternoon and became moderately high, reaching 24 C. During the rest of the afternoon the dew point was stable before falling a little and eased to slightly above average. In the evening the dew point was slightly above average and stable. Today: Near average or slightly warm in the early hours and during this morning. Dew point fell slowly in the early hours before rising this morning, while remaining close to average. Relative humidity started the day slightly below average before reducing during the early hours to moderately low and to low this morning as the relative humidity slowly rose in the early hours and fell quite quickly this morning. Light S to SE winds at the start of the day tended S to SSW winds with calm winds at times before SW winds in the early morning and then S to SE winds this morning.

The remnants of a thunderstorm passed through in the evening, with thunder. Pressure reached a high of 1009.4 hPa at 8:26am that fell to a low of 1005.3 hPa at 11:23am that coincided with rain starting later in the morning then rose quickly from 11:50 am to 1007.3 hPa at 12:02pm. Following this the pressure fell slowly. The wind started to increase just before 10 am after the pressure had started to drop before easing as the pressure rose. The temperature was close to average early in the day, then became slightly warm as the temperature rose at the start of the day and was stable or rose slowly during the rest of the early hours. The minimum temperature occurred at 8pm in the previous day, whilst the previous day maximum temperature occurred in the mid morning. The temperature this morning is 0.5 C below the maximum yesterday, so yesterday maximum temperature looks likely to this morning maximum temperature until 9am. Dew point fell very slowly before rising this morning and have remained slightly above average. Relative humidity have been close to average and was stable and close to saturation in the early hours and early this morning reaching a maximum of 99% for nearly 2 hours. Wow. The dry winter and spring finished with a deluge. The tweed has been swollen for days. Ground saturated but great for weeding.

Notes of yesterday weather - 18/12/20: Partly cloudy with Cu and Sc clouds. Some light showers in the early hours. Warm in the early hours as the temperature was stable or fell slowly, then eased during the morning to near average from the late morning as the temperature rose more slowly later in the morning. The temperature was variable from the mid morning to the mid afternoon. Slightly warm early in the evening and became warm as the temperature fell more slowly before stabilising later in the evening. Dew point was stable in the early hours and rose a little in the morning, then after briefly falling the dew point rose during the morning while remaining moderately high before falling in the afternoon slowly that became slightly above average in the late afternoon. In the evening the dew point rose slowly moderately high. Relative humidity was near average from early in the day, fell quickly in the early morning to mid morning that became generally stable from the mid morning. Near average relative humidity became moderately high from the middle of the day, eased to slightly above average later in the afternoon and was near average in the evening. Light N winds early in the day became NNE to ENE before calm winds from later in the early hours, and then N to NNE winds in the morning. From the late morning were E to NE winds, ENE to NE from the late afternoon, then N to NE in the early evening before N to NNW winds in the late evening.

Today: Warm early in the day as the temperature fell slowly before easing to slightly warm this morning as the temperature starts to rise. Dew point fell very slowly in the early hours, then rose a little a little this morning and have been moderately high, easing to slightly above average currently. Near average or slightly below average relative humidity in the early hours as the relative humidity rose slowly in the early hours, then fell this morning and have been slightly below average before stabilising in the last 30 minutes close to average. Light N to NE winds became NNE to E during the early hours with some variable winds that became calm later in the early hours and during the early morning. Light N to ENE winds this morning.
