A week a half decent weather would be nice about now..I have to reverse along our driveway and cross the creek so I dont mess up the grass trying to turn around...

I imagine its getting a tad swampy out your way too..?

Any chance of linking to you rainfall figures like you used to...?...I'm far too lazy to bother recording my own...

Looking very messy.

Been trying, sort of, to sprinkle for some of the afternoon. Couldn't ask for better temperatures though. Nice and comfortable.

Looks like NW WA might be getting a TC.

The rain hasn't stopped here all night.

Not particularly heavy, but continuous. A quick shine of the torch at the gauge about an hour ago
looks like maybe 65mm.

Back yard has water laying all over it,- but a level block sitting on C class fill is always going to do that.

Beautiful night of rain for 176mm , creeks are all up a bit and getting a good flush.
Still not had that torrential pouring rain that really gets things running, but this is very nice.
Just helped a neighbor load out a deck of cattle to start their journey to Vietnam.

Another gorgeous overcast morning. Rain overnight gave us 19mm. Fraction of what you're all getting, but pretty good for us. At least it's *still* raining. 😊😊

The mozzie coil 30 packs were gone from the IGA yesterday..

I have already eaten 2 this morning..not looking forward to the inevitable swarm...

Strangely, partner misted last week just as it started to rain and grumbled at his bad luck. However, since the rain has given way to sunny weather they've not returned.

Finally getting bedding laundered and hung in the fresh air instead of the shed.

Again we were unable to get to Cairns this week .Last week it was the ferry clogged with logs which would have put us too late for appointments so turned round for home. This week, a large tree subsided onto to the access road and no way through until the Council shifted it.

Hi everyone, my email notifications failed yet again. Not in spam, just not received.

So, last rain we had was Thursday, 3mm. I almost didn't check the gauge. Now three days without rain. Great for catching up laundry though and getting it properly dry.

Plants are still happy. Pawpaws have shot up, even have flowers & little pawpaws appearing. A first for me, haven't grown them before.

Hopefully we'll be in for more rain on Tuesday. Fingers crossed.

Mozzies aren't too bad. Slow enough to squash... It's the tiny flying gnats that bother me. Those ones that hang around lights then fall in a heap beneath. A variety of types all tiny, and some of them bite. Worse than sandflies and itch for days. Horrible things.

A TL over Vanuatu way too.

Is it my imagination that we used to be able to click on Weipa and get an almost overlap of rain radars so we knew how much of their weather was heading here. Now, the rain radar circles only go out to about 250km and have a sharp arc cutoff with unknown territory in between, a blank zone.
I realise we can get the whole country via "Australia" including the grey satellite cloud cover but it in no way informs about rain bands.
Really, the 5ookm so called composite is no such thing, more like a submarines asdic picture without torpedo tracks.
