A near average maximum temperature was reached in the late morning before the temperature fell from the middle of the day. The dew point was mostly near average during the morning before falling from the late morning while remaining near average. Relative humidity stopped falling in the late morning and remained moderately high since this morning returning to near average tonight. Light S to SE winds becoming S to SW in the last 30 minutes.

Notes of yesterday weather - 12/1/20: Cloudy with cu and as clouds. Some light rain in the early hours. The temperature was stable early in the day with a warm morning. The maximum temperature was reached in the late morning before falling from the middle of the day. Calm winds early in the day, SSW to W winds in the early morning, then S to SW winds and S to SE winds from the mid morning. In the late evening winds became S to SW.

Today: The temperature have been stable and near average so far today with mostly stable and close to average dew point also. Relative humidity have been near average and quite stable. Light S to SW winds since the early hours of today.

A slightly cool day with the temperature stabilising in the late morning and became variable from the middle of the day to the mid afternoon. The dew point generally fell slowly in the morning and a little faster in the afternoon becoming stable tonight while remaining close to average. Relative humidity was near average becoming slightly above average from the late morning and during the afternoon and returning to near average tonight. Light S to SSE from 8am, SSE to SE from the mid morning with some S to SSE winds in the afternoon becoming S to SSE tonight.

The temperature was stable in the late morning before becoming variable to the mid afternoon. The dew point was near average and mostly stable from early in the day before falling in the afternoon and became stable while remaining close to average in the evening. Relative humidity was near average and quite stable early in the day becoming slightly above average from the late morning and in the afternoon before returning to near average in the evening. Light S to SW winds from early in the day, S to SSE winds during the morning, SSE to SE from the mid morning with some S to SSE in the afternoon and became S to SSE in the evening.

0 mm of rainfall to 9am this morning and 4.5 mm since 9am from some light to moderate showers from 10 am to 10:30am with brief heavy falls (1.2 mm in the 2 minutes from 10:02 am). The temperature stopped rising at 9:15 am this morning and subsequently fell before and during the showers before rising following the showers. The temperature then rose through to the early afternoon with a near average maximum though was a little variable before falling.

The dew point generally rose during the morning with a brief sharp rise in dew point with the showers becoming moderately high before falling back to near average in the late morning. From the afternoon the dew point became stable. Relative humidity rose moderately high from 9:30am ahead and with the showers rising to 77% before falling back to near average from the late morning. Light NNW to NE winds with some E to NE winds during the morning becoming S to SE with the showers, E to SE during the afternoon and E to ENE tonight.

A brief light to moderate shower at 10:50pm. The dew point have been rising this evening while remaining close to average. Relative humidity have been rising quite steadily tonight and is near average at 88%. Light N to NNE winds in the last few hours and calm at times.

It looks like further showers are coming in from the NE.

Notes of yesterday weather - 15/1/20: Partly cloudy with cu and sc clouds, with increasing cu clouds during the morning becoming cloudy later in the morning before becoming partly cloudy in the afternoon with ci clouds later in the afternoon. A light shower in the early hours. Light to moderate showers between 10am and 10:30am with brief heavy falls of 1.2 mm in 2 minutes. A brief light to moderate shower at 8pm and another at 10pm followed by q further shower with heavy falls in the late evening. A warm morning with the temperature stable for much of the early hours. The temperature fell from 9:15am before and during the morning showers. The temperature then rose through to the afternoon and was a little variable. Dew point rose from early in the day close to average and rose sharply and became moderately high in the late morning with the showers. From the late morning the dew point fell back to near average becoming stable in the afternoon and rising slowly in the evening. Near average relative humidity today except for moderately high relative humidity from 9:30am before and during the showers before returning to near average in the late morning and rose moderately high in the late evening also. Light SW to SSE winds at times in the early hours, WSW to SSW in the early morning becoming S to ESE during the morning, NNW to NE winds with some E to NE winds from the mid morning and became S to SE with the showers later in the morning. In the afternoon winds were light E to SE, E to ENE in the evening and N to NNE winds later in the evening and calm at times.

Today: Light to moderate showers in the early hours with some heavy falls very early in the day. The dew point have been near average and stable and rising close to average this morning. Relative humidity have been stable and near average. Light N to NE winds at times between 12am and 3am and calm thereafter.

Looks to be a large storm system moving in from the west - currently out towards Dalby. Be interesting to see how long it holds together and what the rainfall totals in that area show tomorrow. Currently warned by the BOM. Looks good on the Toowoomba Airport web cam:

Frequent light showers from the mid morning to the late morning, less frequent from later in the morning with showers until early afternoon. No further rainfall to 9am this morning and 1.4 mm since 9am. The temperature was quite variable from the mid morning to the early afternoon which fell and rose twice during this time. The dew point was rather variable and became moderately high at times from the mid morning to the early afternoon returning to near average in the mid afternoon while falling slowly. Tonight the dew point have been stable. Relative humidity was a little variable and high since this morning through to tonight. Light N to NE winds developed in the mid morning, N to NW later in the morning and N to NE in the late morning. In the afternoon winds were E to NE with some N to NE winds at times and in the late afternoon, E to NE in the evening and then NNE to NE and have been calm in the last hour.

Notes of yesterday weather -
16/1/20: Cloudy periods with cu clouds easing a little with cu and sc clouds in the afternoon. Frequent showers from the mid morning to the late morning, and less frequent from the late morning to the early afternoon. Variable temperature from the mid morning to mid afternoon which fell and rose twice. A cool day. Near and stable dew point early before quite becoming variable and moderately high at times from the mid morning to mid afternoon. From the mid afternoon the dew point returned to near average while falling becoming mostly stable in the evening. Relative humidity was stable and near average early in the day and became high from during the morning and during the rest of the day. The relative humidity was a little variable from the mid morning to early afternoon. Light N to NE winds at times in the early hours and otherwise calm, N to NE winds from the mid morning, N to NE later in the morning and N to NE winds later in the morning. E to NE light winds with some N to NE winds at times in the afternoon and in the late afternoon, E to NE in the evening becoming NNE to NE and calm later in the evening.

Today: A light overnight shower. Mostly calm winds overnight with some N to NNW winds before E to NE winds developed in the last 30 minutes. Mostly stable temperature in the early hours of today with a warm morning. Mostly stable and near average dew point from early today and have been rising but have remained near average. Near average relative humidity today.

Absolutely poured down in the thunderstorm easing back at times and picking up again. Brilliant. The rain have eased now. There were a few light showers also earlier tonight. It looks like further rain is on the way too.

Current total is 35.6 mm since 9am with a maximum rain rate 162.2 mm/hr at 10:48pm. 21 mm in 15 minutes to 10:57pm and 29 mm in 31 minutes to 11:13pm.

In the last few hours the temperature have been stable at times and fell with the beginning of the storm before stabilising presently. Dew point have been near average while rising slowly before the storm, fell slightly with the storm and rose slowly in the last 20 minutes. Relative humidity have been rising steeply this evening and is currently 88%. Light E to NE winds tonight, becoming calm before the storm, then ESE to NE with the storm, then N to NE winds from 11pm and SSW to SW following the storm.
