Not much here either a few rumbles of thunder and enough rain to wet the ground and that is all.

Caloundra web cam looking good for that cell approaching Bribie.

Pelting it down here again. No hail, just rain drops the size of small buckets.
Looks like the fire in Ningi and the newer fire on Moreton from yesterday's storm is about to get a good water too, which is good news.

Sadly next to no rain up here (again) and a few dry lightning strikes. One has taken out the electricity so no power here too.

The aircraft on the webcam are going to receive a few lumps of ice on them based on the reports from Glasshouse and the colours on the radar.

I can see some clouds trying to rise to my south, presumably the Greenbank cell. I received 3mm from the very southern edge of the southern cell over northern Brisbane. No hail but with very large drops during a few brief periods of rain. Maximum rain rate of 40.8 mm/hr very briefly. The temperature fell to 23 C with the thunderstorm and now rising with the cloud clearing. Still very hazy. The dew point has continued to rise before, with and after the storm and is now 20 C. Relative humidity peaked at 83% during the storm. Wind was a little gusty with the storm. NNE to NE winds during and since the storm.

Up at Mooloolaba, got a park undercover and went to the Hoggs Breath to have lunch and sit the storm out. We watched it approached with the others in the restaurant then it got intense. The marina got hit with a small tornado. Staff running everywhere glasses and plates blowing off tables.
Things went flying everywhere, then we got hit with the rear flank and had hail and strong wind.
Power has been out for over 30 minutes. Doppler both Stappy and Gympie was amazing likewise with the radars.

Trees and branches down everywhere, power poles and lines are down. Roads closed. Cricket ball hail. Hundreds of cars just smashed either on the side of the highway or at the service station halfway from the Coast. Tow trucks everywhere. It was an intense powerful system.

Could only grab a shot here and there. Too hard to drive and just could not pull over anywhere.

The whole center and the Marina had to close. A fair bit of damage and just no power and it was not going to get restored for some time.
Colin Maitland.

Missed out here too, so everything must have formed at the end of my yard and just before Caboolture got it all. No rain for at least a week now.

Zero rain, zero wind and we had a powerful for 5 hours. Just came back on again though.

Might be another round to go yet. Radar showing a few big cells just over the border between Tweed Heads and Byron Bay. A lot seems to have moved out to sea but some of these cells seem to be moving in a more northerly direction. Southern end of the Gold Coast may see some action.

A classic scary photo from the Coast Storm. A roof was torn off snapped 2 of the struts of the trusses and hurled them across the road and speared them into the ground along with some tin sheeting.

Been hanging to post some photos/videos but have had no power for over 7 hours due to storm that hit here. Can we add videos? Photos attached of our neighbourhood at Glenfields Estate, Mountain Creek (suburb next to Mooloolaba). Intense 30 minutes of mother nature's fury. Neighbour got a branch through his roof and pierced into his dining room. We have national park backing up to our house so am surprised we didn't get damage with the 40 metre high gum trees backing up to our fence. Just a lot of branches in the yard thank goodness. Neighbourhood looks like a bomb sight, trees and power lines down everywhere. Six foot high timber fences just blew over flattened to the ground by the wind like dominoes. I have never ever seen anything like it. I only walked through the area of destruction 30 minutes before storm hit. Am actually dumbfounded at the amount of damage around here. Hope to get more photos tomorrow, these just don't do the damage just but was hard to get in to get photos with dozens of people around. Anyway, been a long day/night so off to bed and have a massive yard clean up tomorrow with branches strewn all over yard. Good night.20191117_133447.jpg20191117_134907.jpg20191117_152402.jpg20191117_153153.jpg20191117_134831.jpg20191117_153033.jpg20191117_154136.jpg20191117_152916.jpg20191117_154028.jpg20191117_153750.jpg20191117_155432.jpg20191117_160427.jpg20191117_155625.jpg20191117_160455.jpg20191117_155400.jpg20191117_155327.jpg20191117_160536.jpg20191117_155526.jpg
