It wasn't too bad here today. The wind swung to the NE with a nice sea breeze, which made the humidity rise to over 60% by 2pm. Hopefully the southerly change comes through tomorrow quite early in the day to help lower the fire rating.

There's still the possibility (but not a certainty) that some additional dust and smoke haze may start arriving over sections of SE QLD on Wednesday...... in fact, some dust has already entered the far southwestern Downs and far southwest QLD as dust storms developed across parts of NSW and the central interior of Australia this afternoon. Fire danger also increases again in SE QLD tomorrow.
Here's a short forecast loop of dust concentrations as currently suggested by NASA's GEOS-5 model:

Visibility worsening during the middle of the day and was down to 4km and improved a bit in the afternoon. The wind change came through at 11:30am with gusty moderate E to SE winds. In the morning winds were quite variable (N to NW mainly with some SW to NW winds and a fraction of N to NE) and gusty though wind speeds eased before the wind change. Light E to SE winds have continued through to tonight. Temperature rose steadily during the morning to a maximum of 36.4 C before the wind change.

The temperature fell 5 C in 8 minutes with the wind change and at a slower rate afterwards. The dew point rose 8C in 2 minutes also with the wind change. Before the wind change the dew point fell through the morning to a low of 2 C. After the wind change the dew point was stable at 16 C and fell slowly later this afternoon. The relative humidity fell during the morning falling to a low of 13%, rose 20% in 7 minutes with the wind change and have continued to rise slowly since the wind change (currently 57%).
